I teach a variety of classes. My teaching is based on a simple and available approach. I am trilingual, Spanish is my mother tongue. I teach in French and English.


INTRODUCTION TO YOGA

Weekly 90 minute classes over 5 weeks to learn Yoga basics geared to the student who has never practiced Yoga. Instruction is clear and precise and the student is guided into posture, alignment and other useful tips to safely move during class. Class ends with guided relaxation. More info…


ASHTANGA YOGA 1ST SERIES & RESTORATIVE POSTURES

Tradition in Ashtanga as taught by Sri K Patthabi Jois instructs to do the series in flow, with rhythm and attentiveness to the body. Sequencing and good alignment are important. Class ends with supported relaxation postures for re-balancing the body.

This class is for students who have been practicing enough to know basic standing-posture alignment. Suggestions for adapting postures is taught.


DYNAMIC YOGA & MOVEMENT 1 & 2

This practice is a soft flow and aimed at bringing awareness into the spine and throughout the entire body. It represents a fusion of classic Yoga postures and other somatic movement teachings like Feldenkrais Technique. Breath instruction and relaxing postures are included in every session. Freeform and creative moves add a lighthearted feel to this type of practice.

DY&M 1 & 2 is geared to the beginner-level student and to students wanting to explore gentler forms of Yoga.


DYNAMIC YOGA 2 & 3

Alignement becomes at once subtler, more precise and detailed. Postures are held longer during Vinyasa (continuous, repetitive, flow linking the practice). Students discover longer inversion postures, refine breath and meditation practices aimed at developing their own potential and wellbeing.


GENTLE YOGA & MOVEMENT

This class is based on a sequence of postures which rebalance strength and flexibility. Use of deep flowing breathing techniques help the student to master relaxation of the senses. Vinyasa sequencing and repetitions are introduced. Once better breath/movement coordination start happening, new postures and their basic alignment cues are taught.

This class starts with a short guided meditation period and ends with deep relaxation.


RESTORATIVE AND RELAXING YOGA

Practices favor gentleness, inner stress-management and breath techniques. This type of session is geared towards students who have injuries and/or chronic tension as well as for persons going through situations when the body requires some loving-kindness and movement.


YOGA 60 AND UP AND/OR SPECIAL-NEEDS

Focus is on joints. Practice is done slowly with vigilance thereby opening the possibility to increase vitality, balance, strength and flexibility. Classes start out on chairs, move on to standing postures and end on the ground (or on chairs) with sitting and reclining postures and a brief relaxation period.


YOGA FOR CANCER

This series of classes is based on a methodology (Y4C Tari Prinster) that has been researched and aims to teach movement and relaxation. It helps participants lower the stress levels, improve sleep, regain contact with the body and provides tools to help you navigate through diagnosis, treatment or the after-treatment effects on the body. PRE-NATAL YOGA FOR MUMS AND/OR COUPLES

This class is private or semi-private. Students learn a routine to breathe, move and gain body awareness enhancing connection between partners & baby. Mums will find many physical benefits in this type of class.

Private sessions over brief periods for anyone needing tutoring in easy accessible ways to uplift quality of living. Yoga, Aromatherapy, Meditation, Nutrition, encouragement to keep good habits.

Teaching is done gradually so benefits emerge during a session allowing students to harmonize the mind body and spirit and feel it.
